Privacy Policy

Pet Heirloom Memorial Portrait ("the App") is published by Bulpara ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what we do — and just as importantly, what we don't do — with the photo you trust us with.
The short version. To paint your portrait, your photo is sent to our AI rendering vendor. Before it leaves your device we strip its location and EXIF data. It is never used to train AI, is never seen by a human reviewer, and is automatically deleted within 24 hours. We do not require an account, and we do not sell your data.
1. The Photo You Provide
- Why we need it. The App turns one photo of your pet into a painted portrait (oil, charcoal, or watercolor). The photo is the only content we process, and we use it solely to create the portrait you asked for.
- Where it goes. Rendering is performed by our third-party AI vendor, Replicate. Your photo is uploaded to Replicate to generate the portrait and is returned to your device. We have no servers that store your photos.
- What we strip first. Location and EXIF metadata are removed from the image before it is uploaded.
- How long it lasts. Your input photo is automatically deleted within 24 hours of rendering. It is never used to train AI, and is never reviewed by a human.
- Your finished portraits are stored locally on your device, in the App's gallery. You can delete them at any time.
2. Data We Store on Your Device
- Your gallery: The portraits you create, plus their style and timestamp, are stored locally on your iPhone.
- Preferences: Your default style and app settings.
- Free-preview status: A local record of whether you've used your free first portrait, so we can offer it once.
- Purchase status: Your purchases are managed by Apple's StoreKit and cached locally to unlock the features you bought.
3. Permissions We Request
- Photo Library (the photo you pick): Used only to import the single photo you select through the iOS photo picker. We do not browse or enumerate your library.
- Save to Photos (optional): Only when you choose to save a finished portrait back to your photo library.
- Notifications (optional): If enabled, used only to let you know when a portrait has finished rendering. You can disable this in iOS Settings at any time.
4. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third parties:
- Replicate (AI rendering): Receives your stripped photo to generate the portrait, then deletes it within 24 hours. Replicate does not use your photo to train models and performs no human review. See Replicate's Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Manages purchases and the optional subscription. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
5. What We Don't Do
- We do not require you to create an account or give us your name or email to use the App.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we display no advertising.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your photos or personal data.
- We do not use your photos to train AI models, and no human reviews them.
6. Data Security
- Photos are transmitted to our rendering vendor over an encrypted connection and deleted within 24 hours.
- Your portraits, gallery, and preferences live on your device.
- Purchase verification uses Apple's secure StoreKit framework.
7. Your Rights
You can:
- Delete any portrait from the gallery inside the App at any time
- Delete the App to remove all local portraits, gallery data, and preferences
- Disable Notifications and Photo access from iOS Settings at any time

8. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
